Musical Eve Program at Calicut: E mails were sent to all Presidents within our District to give the list of singers within their Clubs during 8/2016..Based on the interest shown by the Lion members in reciprocating with me to make a memorable Musical event , selection was done. I have gone personally to Nileswar Town to fix the singers. Karaoke tracks were sent to me by all the singers. 100 songs were selected among 17 singers within 10 Clubs and entire songs were presented at Lions Park at Calicut from 2 PM onwards till 10 PM. Wonderful ambience was artificially created in Lions Park with colorful lighting of all the trees. Hurdles like permission from Port authorities, Police Department for Mike Permission, Toilet arrangements for female artists ,Parachute for creating shade at the stage, extension of speaker Cabins to adjoining park land etc were aptly made which was appreciated by one and all. I got around 100 telephone calls after the program. All of them asked whether such talented and Professional singers are there in Lionism. That was the success of the Program. Lion.
